We spent all of our first year at the site of the old Elmira Prison Camp. It was a site that "chose" us, or more specifically chose Brian. He was led to it when out walking one day. He felt as though he was drawn to it. He asked me to check out the site. Having been involved with another paranormal investigation group a year prior, I knew something of the site but had never been there.  Brian had no equipment  of his own at that time so I brought  my digital recorder, a camera and my K-2 meter. We checked this site out during the day and we were surprised to find that we thought we got some EVP's from our short daytime visit there. Later, we re-analyzed it and both agreed it was just noise, but it was enough to get us started and we went there that night with just a digital recorder and a digital camera. I think we got stuff from our first visit . It was enough to keep us coming beck about twice a week, weather permitting,  and as our interest grew so did the equipment . Brian got his own digital recorder and I got a video camera.  As the summer wound down we seemed to be getting less, but we were still wanting to find and learn more. We decided to form a group and find new places to investigate.
